Saturday's weather report

Saturday didn't look so good on the weather reports, but jumpers enjoyed beautfiul 65 degree weather and jumped all day! High winds kept some of the AFF students grounded, but students Colin Reily and Collin Wells stuck it out to see if they would get to jump the sunset load. Laura Morris started the first load of the day off with a 10 way tracking dive, that the whole DZ participated in. Rob Morris organized some belly jumps throughout the day, and worked with Thad Rice on their head down skydiving. Congrats to many of our jumpers on their new equipment! Mike Sweet's new canopy is in, Ken Reeve's new container, Bill Keith, Radcliff Davis and Ken Reeve's new jumpsuits are in as well. That means lots of beer for our refrigerator! Thanks to Ken Reeve's, who brought out the dropzone's new vending machine. Thanks to Kyle as well for cleaning the machine. Our AFF student's patience paid off, with both of them getting to jump on the sunset load! The sunset load also was an experience for jumper Cliff Hindman, who experienced his first cut away. Jumpers on the ground watched the whole deployment sequence and spotted where the canopy landed. Everything was recovered and Cliff enjoyed a cold beer back at the hanger.

Dinner at Sammie's Touch n Go was great! 15 skydiver's lined the tables and enjoyed good food after a day of jumping. We even snagged a new AFF student to come eat with us! Thanks to Collin Wells for joining the crew.

Sunday also did not look good on the weather forecast, but we jumped all day! High winds kept us going slow, and kept some jumpers on the ground, but AFF students Collin Wells and Joseph Wood both got to make their skydives. Jeff Fincher and Laura Morris got to work on the 2 way team skills today, and husband and wife duo Laura Morris and Rob Morris got to make fun jumps together! Chris Martin got to jump his new camera all weekend, and shot lots of fun jumping videos. Ken Reeves jumped hard this weekend, only missing 4 of the total loads flown!
