Alabama Skydiving Center Keeps Jumping Despite Storms and Heat

Scott Young took his AFF class and completed level 2 in hsi training program. Only 5 more jumps to go! Head packer Corn Jooste, and our newest packer Amy Gravlee, kept our jumpers going all day Saturday. Despite a HUGE thunderstorm with 40 knot gusts and lightining striking the building, jumpers made 7 loads for the day! The sunset load had a tracking dive led by Laura Jonikas with Todd Sellers, Corn Jooste and Brandon Betts. Everyone landed down in front of the airport restaurant, Sammie's Touch n Go, and the crowd marveled at Todd Sellers landing. We'll see you out soon enough Todd, you might want to contact tandem instructor Jeff Fincher about jumping with a cast on! With 100 degree temperatures on Sunday, the Alabama Skydive Center was trying hard to stay hydrated through the busy day. Brandon Betts has only 1 more jump to go before he hits 100, we'll get to add another pie picture to our wall soon. Great job to Laura Popwell on completing IAF 4, and she's coming back to graduate next weekend!!!

Congrats to Rachael Nichols and Eric Nichols on their upcoming wedding. Though the staff can not make it out, we send our best wishes! Great job to Eric Nichols on recieving his A license before heading up to Skydive Chicago for Summerfest.

SUPPORT THE DROPZONE!!!Rob and Laura will be getting married the weekend of July 28th. Help us keep that airplane flying!!!!! July 29-30 lift tickets will be $17. To the person with the most jumps for the weekend, you will win some free skydvies!
